Incredible food, highly recommend visiting Silk. We started with the Duck Gyoza and Chicken Satay and then shared the Curry and Teriyaki Chicken. Our favourite was the satay.

Freshly arrived in Hvar, stepping straight off the boat, we headed to check into our hostel located conveniently above one of Hvar’s most famous bars. Yet, the real gem was waiting just across the street: Silk restaurant. What came as a surprise to me, Silk is part of a wider chain, with locations in Split, Dubrovnik, and other cities, a pleasant surprise discovered later. The restaurant was already fully booked by afternoon, prompting us to reserve a table for 9 pm, a wise choice I strongly recommend. Upon arrival at 9 pm, our table was ready, the waiters welcomed us warmly, and the evening kicked off perfectly. Food: Starters: Dim Sums: We sampled both chicken and pork. The pork dim sums stood out significantly with their smooth texture and flavorful broth inside - an ideal way to kick off dinner. Chicken Dim Sum 7/10, Pork Dim Sum 9/10. Chicken Satay: Well-balanced in flavor with a portion size perfect for one person, though not exceptional. 6/10. Spring Rolls: A fantastic vegetarian choice, especially paired with their sauce - deliciously combined flavors. 9/10. Mains: Mongolian Beef: Appealing in pictures, yet slightly disappointing. The jasmine rice felt bland, and the beef sauce lacked depth, overshadowed by vegetables. 7/10. Crispy Pork Belly: Undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. A perfect combination of crispy pork belly, kimchi, fresh salad, and fried rice. Highly recommended by our waiter and rightly so - 10/10. This dish alone warranted a second visit. Drinks: The cocktail menu shines. We enjoyed an exceptional Moscow Mule that complemented our meal perfectly. Service: Quick, attentive, and friendly service enhanced the experience significantly. Recommendations were spot-on, and dishes arrived promptly. Overall: Silk offers a delightful surprise for lovers of Asian Fusion cuisine. Its diverse menu promises something for everyone, but the crispy pork belly is a standout dish worth revisiting. Bonus points for proximity to Hvar’s most popular bar, making it a fantastic dining spot to start your night.

If you are in Split Croatia and feeling for Asian food, you must visit Silk. It’s a charming place with not much seating area so you may have to wait for a table, however, it will be worth the wait. The staffs were friendly and welcoming and the food was just amazing. The sushi was freshly prepared, noodles are as delicious as you can imagine, some of the best Asian food I’ve had in a while. The only thing you should know however, there’s is 3 different taxes on your bill, I wasn’t aware of this so it was a surprise when the bill came to the table.

We have visited Silk restaurants around Croatia and really enjoy the food (it’s similar to Wagamama in the UK). The food is delicious and the service is fast. Good portions. Cute outside seating area on a beautiful side street in Hvar. Prices are average - 25 euro for chicken katsu curry in June 2025. Overall we enjoy and recommend :)

We loved dining at this Hvar restaurant! The food was incredible, with great vegan and vegetarian options - a rare find on the island. Service was top-notch, attentive and friendly. Portions were generous, although prices were a bit high (but that's Croatia for you!). Highly recommend for a great dining experience!

Food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, they had some British bangers playing in the background but not too loud. The waiter was great, very accommodating and the price of the food was fairly reasonable. A little more difficult to find, but tucked away along the backstreet it is a gorgeous setting for dinner.

We go out for Asian food very, very often, and this place truly impressed us! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and prepared with great care. On an island like Hvar, where most restaurants serve similar menus, it’s such a rare and wonderful find to discover an Asian restaurant like this. Not only is it unique, but the food is also exceptionally tasty. We were so happy to find it and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!
